For this year's DECA Community Service Project, Dylan Kossar, Paige Mezzatesta, and Alex Pirsos are hosting a 5K at Northern Highlands Regional High School to fundraise and raise awareness for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. This is near and dear to our hearts because one of our project leaders, Dylan Kossar has a strong, yet unfortunate connection to the cause. In 2004, Dylan's brother Ryan fell victim to SIDS. This run is in honor of not only him, but the 2,200+ infants who pass each year. Please come out on November 20th and walk/ run/ stroll with us to support the CJ Foundation for SIDS. Registration starts at 9 am, and the run will be held from 10-12 pm. We encourage you to wear purple and green to show support for SIDS, or purchase one of our 5K t-shirts. Huge prizes will be raffled off at the event. All registrants will receive a raffle ticket when arriving at the 5K. That ticket can be placed into a jar, and one ticket for each prize will be selected at the end of the race. Prizes include a $250 Moxie Salon gift certificate and a special edition signed poster of NFL cornerback Darrelle Revis. Ticket holders must be present at the time of the drawing to recieve the prize. We welcome all ages to attend whether you're 1 or 100, and if you're not able to join us we encourage you to donate.
